Challenge

Optimize subsystem configuration, availability, and maintainability while decreasing amount of cabling, weight, and imminent obsolescence problems.

Solution

Replace heterogeneous electronic component and software landscape by developing a standard subsystem platform including a general purpose computing platform, additional standardized I/O boards, and a DO-178B certified RTOS with a standard aerospace API.

Result

Introduction of the integrated modular avionic (IMA) standard and the rollout of a company wide standard software platform. Based on the new demands of IMA, SYSGO developed a completely new invented separation microkernel for secure and safety-critical systems PikeOS.
