The SESAMO Project
SESAMO stands for SEcurity and SAfety MOdelling
SESAMO is a 3 years EU-ARTEMIS project. The concept of that project is motivated by the increasing convergence of safety and security in embedded systems and products, where subtle and poorly understood interaction of functional safety and security mechanisms impede development, certification, and accreditation procedures and standards.
SESAMO will develop a component oriented design methodology based upon model-driven technology, which jointly addresses safety and security aspects and their interrelation for networked embedded systems in multiple domains.
Key elements of the SESAMO design methodology are:
- Enabling mechanisms to reduce interdependencies between safety and security mechanisms and to jointly ensure such properties
- Methodological elements of an integrated safety and security oriented analysis
- An overall design methodology and tool-chain that utilizes the constructive elements and analysis steps to ensure that safety and security are intrinsic characteristics of the system
The role of SYSGO within this project is to provide PikeOS, bring virtualization modeling into partner tool-chains, interface CODEO with other tool and/or improve CODEO.
The project involves the following partners: Airbus, IKV++, EDF, Peugeot, AKHELA SRL, Prague Technical University, UNICONTROLS, Siemens AG
