ELTEC's QorIQ product line is now supported by the industrial grade Linux ELinOS, a leading embedded Linux distribution. ELinOS thus enables ELTEC's customers to create a customized embedded Linux solution for the QorIQ evaluation platform within a very short time.
The QorIQ-Eval-Board BAB-Q2 from ELTEC is available in the CPU variants P1020 and P2020 up to 1.2 GHz. It offers two each of Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0, an SD interface for booting and two PCI Express x1 slots for connecting peripherals. The board itself has a PCI Express interface so that it can be plugged directly into a PC motherboard, but it can also be used stand-alone.
ELinOS is an integrated development environment for Linux development for embedded devices. SYSGO has more than 15 years of market experience in the industrial environment and offers with ELinOS embedded Linux for high industrial requirements. ELinOS is suitable for a wide range of platforms. Besides all widely used x86, PPC and ARM architectures ELinOS also supports MIPS32, MIPS64, SPARC V8/LEON - and SH platforms. A wide range of sample programs shortens the development process and ensures rapid time-to-market. ELinOS includes CODEO, an Eclipse-based development environment that enables easy system configuration, application development, remote debugging, monitoring as well as tracing.
In addition to the BAB-Q2, ELTEC is currently expanding its product portfolio with further SoC designs based on ARM and FPGAs, which will also be integrated into ELinOS.
