Dear Sir, Dear Madam,
How about a little bit more Vitamin K? This email is packed with fresh Knowledge:
Are Safety & Security antagonists? The new whitepaper "Avionics Application: Security for Safety" solves the Gordian knot and gives new impulses.
Germany's biggest congress for professional Embedded Software Engineering takes place at the beginning of December in Sindelfingen. You can meet SYSGO here in three different forms.
ELinOS 6.2 is available and comes equipped with 64-bit Power PC support and extended Security Services. But that is by no means everything.
The topics in this newsletter:
• New whitepaper: "Avionics Application: Security for Safety"
• 3 x SYSGO at the ESE Kongress
• ELinOS 6.2 is now available: Industrial Linux in new expansion stage

New whitepaper: "Avionics Application: Security for Safety"
Embedded systems in avionics are increasingly used in environments which require communication with the outside world. That makes them more vulnerable to potential attacks, forcing developers to consider safety and security aspects before they even write the first line of code. Read this whitepaper to find out that simultaneously considering both aspects of IT security does not have to cause conflicts.
You can get the whitepaper "here" free of charge, and not for nothing.
ESE Congress 2017: The event in Europe for embedded engineers – and SYSGO is represented in three different forms
For the tenth time, the embedded sector is meeting at the Embedded Software Engineering Congress in Sindelfingen. Every year there are more visitors and exhibitors who take this opportunity at the end of the year to acquire information, join in discussions and establish contacts.
This year, you will also have several opportunities to meet us:
Our colleagues in the exhibition area have a PikeOS demo available and will be happy to answer any questions. On December 6th, a SYSGO Solutions Architect will give a talk entitled "SIL-4 despite unsafe hardware". And on Thursday December 7th, Dr.-Ing. Sergey Tverdyshev (Director Research & Technology) will speak about "Efficient evaluation through component-based software design". Just drop by – we look forward to some exciting discussions.

ELinOS 6.2 is now available: Industrial Linux in new expansion stage
The new ELinOS version is now available. ELinOS 6.2 comes equipped with 64-bit Power PC support and extended Security Services, and is based on Linux kernel 4.9. Distribution has long-term support and real-time upgrades, and now supports Yocto Linux project kernels via a "Generic Platform BSP" too. ELinOS Security Services also help to close security loopholes quickly.
