Pushing the Edge: SYSGO at the LoLiPoP-IoT Review Meeting in Tampere

Events & Conferences, IoT, R&T Projects

Greetings from Tampere, Finland! We’ve just wrapped up a successful LoLiPoP-IoT project review meeting with all partners — a great opportunity to align efforts, share progress, and foster collaboration on this forward-looking initiative.

Representing SYSGO, we’re proud to contribute to use cases 7 and 9, where our smart, safe, and secure gateway at the edge plays a critical role. This gateway aggregates sensor data over multiple protocols and performs a first level of filtering and validation to enhance both reliability and security at the edge.

The broader goal of the project? Innovating around energy harvesting to extend the lifespan of IoT devices — or eliminate batteries entirely. A future where battery-free edge computing is real, efficient, and sustainable is within reach!

We also participated in the latest dissemination workshop hosted here in Tampere, a great platform to stimulate industry collaboration and exchange ideas across domains.

Below is a sneak peek of the first GUI version running on our edge gateway:
