EUROCAE, the European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment, was formed in Lucerne on the 24th April, 1963. EUROCAE has now been operating for more than 40 years as a non-profit organisation whose membership exclusively comprises aviation stakeholders made up of Manufacturers (aircraft, airborne equipment, ATM systems and ground equipment), Services Providers, National and International Aviation Authorities and Users (Airlines, Airports, operators) from Europe and elsewhere. From the outset, EUROCAE has developed performance specifications and other documents exclusively dedicated to the Aviation community. EUROCAE documents are widely referenced as a means of compliance to European Technical Standard Orders (ETSOs) and other regulatory documents.

SOAFEE

The Scalable Open Architecture for Embedded Edge (SOAFEE) initiative is an industry-led Special Interest Group (SIG) defined by automakers, semiconductor suppliers, open source and independent software vendors, and cloud technology leaders. The SOAFEE SIG intends to deliver a cloud-native architecture enhanced for mixed-criticality automotive applications with corresponding open-source reference implementations to enable commercial and non-commercial offerings. The SOAFEE Governing Body is responsible for defining the strategic direction of the SOAFEE project. To achieve the project goals, the Governing Body will work with the Technical Steering Committee to create working groups and define the goals and objectives for these groups. The Governing Body comprises a group of industry experts (Arm, AWS, Bosch, Cariad, Continental, Red Hat, Suse and Woven Planet) to ensure that market intelligence is applied to the output of the SOAFEE project.
