SYSGO welcomes new CEO to drive Innovation in Mission-Critical Embedded Systems
SYSGO, Europe’s leading provider of embedded operating systems for safety‑ and security‑critical applications, is pleased to welcome Marcel Robert as its new Chief Executive Officer. With more than 25 years of experience in embedded systems, cybersecurity and medical technology, Marcel steps into this pivotal role to architect the next chapter of SYSGO’s success.
Marcel’s career has been defined by a hands-on and fact-based approach. He is known across the industry for “getting himself into the topic,” preparing and building solutions from the ground up while remaining fully supportive of his teams. His recent position as General Manager of Trixell – a joint venture between Thales, Philips Healthcare and Siemens Healthineers – saw him lead global teams that delivered cutting-edge X-ray imaging technologies worldwide. Prior to that, Marcel held senior roles at Gemalto / Thales Digital Identity & Security (VP IoT Product Portfolio; Head of Technical Consulting & Delivery), where he drove double-digit growth and managed worldwide engineering teams across telecom, banking and industrial IoT sectors.
“I am honoured to guide SYSGO into its next phase,” Marcel said. “As Europe’s embedded OS leader, SYSGO plays a vital role in enabling safety, security and certifiability in critical industries where failure is not an option – from aerospace and defense to automotive and rail. My goal is to harness our deep expertise, expand our global reach and reinforce our position as a trusted technology partner.”
Marcel’s appointment comes at a time of accelerating digital transformation and growing regulatory demand for certifiable and secure software systems. SYSGO’s flagship product, PikeOS, continues to set the standard for real-time partitioned operating systems, enabling safe and secure operation across heterogeneous platforms – a key enabler for autonomous systems and next-generation embedded applications.
With Marcel’s leadership – characterized by pragmatism, dedication and an architect’s vision – SYSGO will expand its market presence and strategic partnerships while meeting the evolving demands of industries where safety, security and real-time performance are mission-critical.
