ERA is currently developing a new generation of a radar system named MSS (Multilateration Surveillance System). In order to further improve reliability and stability ERA will migrate to embedded Linux and has chosen ELinOS as development environment. SYSGO will not only provide the operating system ELinOS. The Czech branch of SYSGO will support the ERA team during the product development. This will enable an intense and close relationship. Talking in the same language is an important advantage for the collaboration in the development of highly intelligent applications.

ERA is a research and development company specialising in development and production of multilateration surveillance systems designed both for air traffic control and air defence applications. A significant part of ERA activities covers as well the development of special software, mainly for the real-time radar data processing and display. ERA was founded in 1994 as a new company building its business on the base of long term successful research and development of passive surveillance system running in the Czech Republic since 1960s. ERA now employs more than 140 people, half of them are engineers.
