Tuxera, the world-leading storage software and networking technology company, has announced its partnership with SYSGO, a European leader in embedded RTOS and hypervisor technology. The alliance comes as a response to the growing global demand for increasingly advanced embedded file system storage in the automotive sector.

SYSGO has been awarded a number of important additional industry-specific safety certifications from TÜV Süd and a Common Criteria security certification from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) for its PikeOS real-time operating system. According to TÜV Süd, the hypervisor meets the requirements of Safety Integrity Level 2 of the IEC 61508 for safety-relevant electrical and electronic systems.

SYSGO will demonstrate various applications of its real-time operating system PikeOS at the embedded world 2019 trade show and conference, held from February 26 to 28 in Nuremberg, Germany. SYSGO appoints OpenSynergy as Value-Added Reseller for its products PikeOS RTOS and Hypervisor, ELinOS Industrial Grade Linux in North Europe. The cooperation started beginning of June 2016 and covers sales, professional services as well as first level support for European customers. Regional Sales Manager Burkhard Jour and Field Application Engineer Robert Pickles are strengthening SYSGO’s presence in the UK. One of the first initiatives of the new team is participation in the Advanced Engineering UK trade fair in Birmingham on the 4th and 5th of November. The focus will be on presenting a safe and secure automotive platform on the basis of PikeOS Hypervisor.

After Continental also Magna now relies on SYSGO’s Hypervisor PikeOS to consolidate complex applications in automotive electronics. The new technology will initially be used in Magna’s 360-degree view system SurroundVue™ and integrates camera system and vehicle information system on the same hardware. The new platform creates the basis for further joint customer projects. Production is expected to begin at the end of 2015.
