SYSGO, the European vendor of reliable device software, has been certified according to the ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) model by the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE). The majority of the reviewed processes achieved SPICE Level 3. This corresponds to the same level under the CMMI model of Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. SYSGO is the only RTOS vendor, worldwide, that has achieved these process quality levels.

Thales Computers and SYSGO today announce that SYSGO's ELinOS, the first Industrial Grade Linux solution, is available aboard Thales' single-board computers (SBCs).

ELinOS Real-Time combines the functionality of embedded Linux with the security and hard real-time features of SYSGO's RTOS PikeOS, enabling Linux in safety-critical applications with hard real-time requirements.

System software specialist SYSGO introduces ELinOS v4.1, the first Industrial Grade Linux solution. Support for interfaces and protocols such as CAN, CANOpen, VME, IPv4/IPv6, EtherCAT, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, etc., is particularly important for automation.

The free downloadable FreeToolbox is now available for ELinOS 4.0.

Hardware manufacturer MEN Mikro Elektronik from Nuremberg and Mainz based software house SYSGO are teaming up to provide consistent Linux PowerPC solutions. The new ELinOS 4.0 now also includes the BSP for the automotive PowerPC MPC5200 ESM (Embedded System Module) EM1 and EM1A from MEN.

ERA has selected ELinOS for a new generation of MSS (Multilateration Surveillance System) radar system, which is scheduled for the beginning of 2006. Supported by the Czech SYSGO team ERA will migrate to Embedded Linux.

SYSGO announces the launch of a new ELinOS version for October. ELinOS has been worked over radically and now fully supports the virtualisation platform PikeOS. Thus, it offers a long-term and reliable foundation for the use of Linux in embedded systems and safety-critical applications.

SYSGO is making the FreeToolbox of the ELinOS product line available as a free download version. This adds another product to the popular embedded Linux development environment ELinOS, giving developers unrestricted access to Linux for embedded systems.

Software support for Kontron's COMs extended with ELinOS v3.1.
