ObjectAda from AONIX is now available as a runtime Ada runtime environment on top of SYSGOs real-time operating system, PikeOS.

SYSGO, the European vendor for safety critical COTS software, today announced the release of a genuine software solution for AFDX (ARINC 664), the first pure software implementation of AFDX available on the market. SYSGO’s AFDX software solution will be undergo DO-178B Level B certification.

As of January, SYSGO is member of BITKOM, the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM).

Open standards for electrical/electronic architectures are currently being promoted in almost all market segments. The AUTOSAR* initiative, for example, plans to present a standard at the end of 2006, and version IV of the OSGi standard** for networked applications has already been available since October 2005.

Hardware manufacturer MEN Mikro Elektronik from Nuremberg and Mainz based software house SYSGO are teaming up to provide consistent Linux PowerPC solutions. The new ELinOS 4.0 now also includes the BSP for the automotive PowerPC MPC5200 ESM (Embedded System Module) EM1 and EM1A from MEN.

SYSGO announced a first PikeOS order from a leading Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer. The project goal is the co-existance of Linux and the Japanese operating system ITRON on one CPU. Within this project PikeOS is also ported to the MIPS processor. The first prototypes are available by the end of this year.

SYSGO announces the launch of a new ELinOS version for October. ELinOS has been worked over radically and now fully supports the virtualisation platform PikeOS. Thus, it offers a long-term and reliable foundation for the use of Linux in embedded systems and safety-critical applications.

SYSGO and Aonix today announced a cooperation to provide the PERC VM and ObjectAda environments for PikeOS. The implementation makes full use of PikeOS’ multi-OS capabilities, thus allowing real-time Java, Ada and traditional Linux applications to run reliably side by side in different partitions.

Embedded Linux professionals and beginners can now benefit from ELinOS's software support for Kontron's embedded modules ETX and X-board. With just a few clicks, an application-specific Linux system for Kontron's modules can be put together without the developer having to have precise knowledge of the internal interrelationships of the target systems. This saves expert knowledge plus a lot of time. Support is currently offered for the modules ETX-P3M, ETX-VE, ETX-MGX as well as X-board.

DIGITAL-LOGIC and SYSGO have signed a partnership agreement that includes a Linux port for the Pentium-M-based smartModule( SM855 products. The PC/104-Plus board MSM855 and the EBX board MSEBX855 are also integrated into the embedded Linux development environment ELinOS. The integration into ELinOS provides DIGITAL-LOGIC customers with convenient access to the development of embedded applications under Linux.
